Last weekend took place AAA's second major event of the year, Verano de Escándalo (Summer Scandal, sounds quite shitty in English) any who. Ironically, it took place on Spring. apparently someone in AAA forgot the fact that Summer begins around June 20th or 21st, but that's just me being picky.
Going through the matches of each Verano Escándalo I found a name I haven't heard in a while (for obvious reasons), Charly Manson. One of the few good luchadores that AAA had in its roster.
For this edition of Verano de Escándalo, Charly faced his former team mate in the stable known as The Hell Brothers, Chessman. He betrayed Cibernético and Manson to join La Sociedad (another stable in AAA). Cibernético took the most obvious decision: break off the hell brothers and each of his members take a different path... wait, what? Apparently keeping the hell brothers with Cibernético and Charly Manson to take revenge on Chessman was way more complicated.
Eventually Charly Manson would get a chance to get retribution from Chessman. In the 2009 edition of Verano de Escándalo, Manson faced Chessman in extreme / street fight. My verdict about it, well first of all I must say I'm not a huge fan of that kind of bouts, but despite this fact, I still enjoyed the fight. They didn't abuse the use of the neon lamps, the moves that both luchadores used to punish each other were great and best of all there weren't any type of interventions from other luchadores.
Just watch it, hope you enjoy it. I'll see you next week.
