Top 4 Ugly Lucha Libre Masks

Why 4? You might ask, well there's there's so much ugly one person can handle. Let the ugliness Flow.

Elektra

From the extinct Promo Azteca, this character was created to promote a kind of famous furniture store with the same name. What I don’t like from this luchador are the colors of his gear, I wouldn’t have any problem with that because those are the colors of the store they are promoting. What makes me mad is the fact that this is the second image the designed for this luchador, if we compare it with his first image they just took like ten steps back.

Frisbee

I had to think this one for a very long time, otherwise every member from Los Cadetes del Espacio from AAA would be here today. Of the 6 members that the group had, this guy got the ugliest mask and gear. Someone in AAA saw way too much re runs from the Silverhawks and got enough ideas to make this character. I’m guessing that the first draft turned out way too friendly and added the red eyes and fangs to make the mask look more badass, sadly that wasn’t the case.

Televisa Deportes

Another character to promote a brand, in the sports branch from tv network Televisa. A very simple mask that if it wasn’t for the rest of the gear I wouldn’t think in what he’s trying to promote.

Sponge Bob Square Pants

Yes! We have Sponge Bob wrestling in Mexico, take that WWE! Yeah, you can imagine how shitty that is, but talking about the mask, still just shitty, this version (yup, there is more than one Sponge Bob Wrestling in Mexico) is just lazy and ugly, it seems that someone took a stuffed doll of the character and put it on some luchador’s head, besides this mask kind scares me.
