Remembering Hector Garza

Today we pay tribute to one the best luchadores in the last years. It's been a year since Hector Garza passed away because of lung cancer.

Going through his record on bet matches, I can say that is quite impressive.  Although, most of those bouts are hair versus hair, the names of luchadores that lost their hair against Garza is what makes Garza's record in this type of matches something interesting.

Garza got to shave the head of brilliant luchadores throughout his career, El Satanico (twice), El Brazo, El Pirata Morgan, Heavy Metal and Pimpinela Escarlata, and a few more turn in to Garza's trophies.

Fortunately I could find one of these matches. From 1995, Hector Garza faced El Brazo in a hair versus hair match. For some reason, El Brazo changed his name, to El Brazo Hermoso (Beautiful), beating Shocker the idea of showing off his good looks to the audience.

Now about the fight. First I must say that I really like how Hector Garza wrestled as a rookie. It's amazing to see Garza wrestling in a classic way, and it's way more awesome to see him win the match using a Boston Crab and La Campana (I think it's called the rocking horse in English). I can't remember seeing him doing these moves before.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the match and I'll see you next week.
